The 2025 season is complete after a thrilling Super Bowl. Now the work begins for all 32 teams to retool their roster and prepare for a potential playoff appearance next season. After an offensive coordinator and passing game coordinator change, the Eagles‘ roster will likely undergo further changes. The Birds have 21 players who’ll test the restricted or unrestricted free-agent market during the 2026 NFL offseason. Several key factors include a pending contract extension for Jalen Carter and the contract status for star tight end Dallas Goedert.
Reed Blankenship is one of the biggest names on the list, and the defense could look drastically different with Nakobe Dean entering the final year of his rookie deal.
With the new league year fast approaching, we’re looking at four players the Eagles could sign to replace Dallas Goedert if he departs.
David Njoku, Browns
A potential short-term option that’s a year younger than Goedert, Njoku spent the first nine years of his career in Cleveland. Njoku ranks second in Browns’ team history in touchdown catches (34) and receptions (384) for a tight end, trailing only Hall of Famer Ozzie Newsome. However, Njoku has missed 11 games due to injury over the past two seasons. His production also dipped in 2025, finishing with 33 catches for 293 yards and four touchdowns.

A tight end who can play like a wide receiver (88 catches for 928 yards and five touchdowns), Pitts only needs to improve as a run blocker to earn elite status.
Isaiah Likely, Ravens
Likely had his training camp derailed by a broken foot, and it was inconsistent from there. His training camp was cut short after he broke his foot in late July during a one-on-one drill. He missed the start of the season and finished with 27 catches on 36 targets for 307 yards, all career lows.
A versatile tight end who can split out, Otton recorded 59 receptions, 572 receiving yards, and one touchdown.
Charlie Kolar, Ravens
A 22nd-round pick of the Ravens, Kolar is a capable blocker, underused in the passing games, and averaged 13.6 yards per reception in his career.
