WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Midwestern State basketball returned to D.L. Ligon Coliseum Thursday night to host Texas A&M International University in a Lone Star Conference matchup.
Just hours after the women’s head coach Brenita Jackson resigned from her position, Kyra Seggewiss, a graduate assistant who was appointed to be the interim head coach, led the Mustangs to a 78-66 victory. It is team’s first win this month.
In the following men’s game, Midwestern State fell 82-77. Junior guard Orlando Horton Jr. led the team in scoring with 14 points and went 5-8 on field goals.
