Texas A&M baseball begins its redemption story today, as the Aggies look to rebound from the disappointing 2025 campaign and begin their journey back to the postseason.

Entering his second season at the helm, head coach Michael Earley is tasked with leading the Maroon and White back to their competitive ways. To start that venture, Earley’s starting rotation will feature LHP Shane Sdao (Friday), while RHPs Weston Moss and Aiden Sims got the nods for Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

According to Earley, the competition in the Aggie bullpen was fierce, which could be a positive sign of things to come for the pitching rotation throughout the season.

“It was a good competition. We really felt like there wasn’t a bad option,” Earley said. “That’s how the order played out, and we’ll see how it works throughout the year. Obviously, the luxury of having all three is very unique for an entire season, but if it plays out like that, great.”

While the status of Texas A&M’s pitching rotation has been the primary unknown of the team during the offseason, filling the holes left from departing talent from last year’s squad at the plate was just as integral. Transfer shortstop Chris Hacopian has the potential to be a breakout star for Texas A&M in 2026, as he brings a powerful swing and outstanding fielding ability to the diamond for the Aggies.

First pitch of Game 1 against Tennessee Tech is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on Friday, followed by a 2 p.m. CT start time on Saturday and 12 p.m. CT on Sunday. All times are weather permitting, due to some potential rain and storms moving into the area throughout the weekend.
