AUSTIN, Texas — Austin Police Department officers responded to a fatal collision at the intersection of Loyola Lane and Sendero Hills Parkway on Wednesday morning.

The crash, which occurred at 7:06 a.m. on February 11, 2026, involved two motor vehicles. Daisy Josephine Nuncio, a 37-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a press release from the Austin Police Department. The driver and passengers of the second vehicle were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was not impaired and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.

This incident marks Austin’s 11th fatal crash of 2026, resulting in 11 fatalities. On the same date in 2025, five fatal crashes had resulted in five deaths. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and fatality information may change, according to the Austin Police Department.
