HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A concrete mixer was involved in a rollover crash in northeast Houston Friday afternoon, according to Sheldon Community Fire & Rescue.
Officials say the crash occurred on Crosby Freeway and Beltway 8 going eastbound near the Sheldon exit along Highway 90.
The driver got out of the vehicle safely, was evaluated by medical staff, and taken to the hospital, with officials describing his condition as “alert” and “mobile.”
Authorities said that the cause of the crash was failure to control speed approaching a construction zone.
