NEW YORK (TNND) — Police in New York urged the public to help them identify a suspect who allegedly slammed a milk crate into a subway rider’s face and injured the man’s eye.
The New York Police Department (NYPD) shared a screenshot of surveillance footage, showing the suspect near the crime scene.

Authorities said the assault happened inside the Queens Plaza subway station on January 28, around 7:20 p.m.
Investigators said a 27-year-old man was walking through a station passageway when the suspect approached him from behind and hit him across the face with a milk crate. The blow caused a laceration to the man’s eye.
The suspect then ran away from the scene, said police.
Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and took the man to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police described the suspect as a man who was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, black shirt, black sweatpants and brown shoes.
