KVNE’s 18th annual Valentine’s outreach spread joy to East Texas seniors, as more than 4,000 cards were distributed, highlighting community love and connection.

TYLER, Texas — An East Texas radio station helped spread Valentine’s Day cheer on the eve of the big holiday to show love to seniors throughout the community.

Kayla Berrier, KVNE’s director of marketing and community outreach, said the annual effort is designed to share love and brighten the day for older residents. Organizers say many seniors were surprised by the gesture, with smiles and heartfelt reactions at each stop.

Community members of all ages are encouraged to participate. This marks KVNE’s 18th year distributing Valentine’s Day cards to seniors. KVNE leaders say the tradition continues to grow each year, with more volunteers and cards helping spread kindness throughout East Texas.

This year alone, the KVNE staff visited more than 40 locations and shared over 4,000 cards, reminding each recipient that they are seen, valued and deeply loved by Jesus. They say the simple idea became a tradition of joy and Christ-centered kindness throughout East Texas.
