LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – All lanes of University Avenue are shut down from 66th to 70th Street after a vehicle crashed into a utility pole and gas meter near the area Wednesday morning.
Just before 9:45 a.m., officers responded to a crash in an alleyway near 69th and University.
Lubbock Fire Rescue says the vehicle struck a gas meter where they are monitoring atmospheric levels near the area.
Atmos was also called to the scene after the collision caused powerlines to fall down along University.
Police report two minor injuries from the crash.
