Dock Local inside Harvest Hall is turning gratitude into action with the launch of Lunches for Legends, a year-long community initiative designed to celebrate the everyday heroes who help keep local communities thriving. The family-owned seafood restaurant — known for its scratch-made coastal favorites — will honor first responders, healthcare professionals and educators throughout 2026 by providing catered meals as a heartfelt thank-you for their service.

The initiative begins with a seasonal focus: first responders from January through April, nurses and hospital staff from May through August, and teachers and school staff from September through December. The program officially kicked off earlier this year with meals served to the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire Station No. 4.

Founded by Chef Brett Curtis, Dock Local has long emphasized hospitality as a core value — and Lunches for Legends extends that spirit beyond the restaurant walls. Guests can participate by adding a $10 “Treat a Legend to Lunch” contribution at checkout, helping fund future meals while supporting local organizations making a meaningful impact. Community members can also nominate deserving teams through Dock Local’s website.
