A little kindness can go a long way — and today, First United Bank is hoping it goes all the way across the community.

Today is First United Bank’s annual United Acts of Kindness Day, built around a simple idea: One act of kindness can change someone’s entire day, and those moments can multiply through neighborhoods, workplaces and families.

The bank is encouraging everyone to take part by doing an act of kindness today and sharing it online. To join in, head to unitedactsofkindness.org and log your act of kindness.

Those acts can be small — like offering a smile, holding the door for someone or reaching out to a friend to see how they’re doing — or something bigger, like buying a meal for the person next to you at a restaurant.

Stephanie Verdugo, First United Bank’s Austin market president, previously shared more about the annual event and encouraged people to participate and help extend the impact through families, workplaces and local groups.
