AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police have identified the driver killed in a crash Wednesday morning in east Austin.

Police responded to the crash a little after 7 a.m. Wednesday morning. The crash, which involved two vehicles, happened at the intersection of Loyola Lane and Sendero Hills Parkway.

One of the drivers, 37-year-old Daisy Josephine Nuncio, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and the passengers of the second vehicle were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries; police say the second driver was not impaired and is cooperating with APD’s investigation.

The crash is Austin’s 11th fatal collision of 2026, police say, resulting in 11 fatalities this year.
