HOUSTON – On Friday, UTSA Women’s Tennis wrapped up its stay in the Bayou City, visiting Houston of the Big 12. The Cougars took all seven team points on the day, remaining perfect. Houston (8-0) still has yet to relinquish a single point all season. With the loss, the Roadrunners fell to 4-3 on the campaign, still in search of their first road victory.

Match 7

Houston took the doubles point with little resistance, but the duo of Aoka Nagasawa and Akari Tomoyose put up a 5-4 fight on court two before singles play began. In the head-to-head contests, no Roadrunner racked up five games in a single set, but Giuliana Giardina came the closest. On court five, she went down 6-1, 6-4 to Petja Drame. Houston took all six points in singles, wrapping up a 7-0 triumph to remain unblemished this spring.
