For the second time, weather has impacted the Texas baseball team’s plans on Valentine’s Day.
Texas announced Saturday morning that due to inclement weather, today’s game against UC Davis will now start at 6:30 p.m. The Longhorns and Aggies were originally supposed to play at 2 p.m. Saturday, but the call was made on Friday to move that first pitch up to noon because of the rain that was in Austin’s forecast.
When Texas and UC Davis do get around to playing on Saturday, Luke Harrison will start on the mound for Texas while fellow left-hander Jack Pezzolo attempts to lead UC Davis to an upset at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Last season, Harrison went 5-1 with a 3.06 ERA. Pezzolo is a freshman making his collegiate debut.
