Storms continue moving east across Texas this afternoon.
Heavy rain has caused flash flooding in parts of North Texas, including areas near Sherman and DFW, where several inches of rain have fallen.
The line of storms is now pushing into East Texas and the Brazos Valley. As it moves into Southeast Texas this evening, storms may strengthen.
Possible threats include:
• Damaging wind gusts over 60 mph
• Hail
• Heavy rain
• A few brief tornadoes
A tornado watch may be issued later for parts of Southeast and East Texas.
Houston timing: roughly 6–8 PM
Beaumont: 7–9 PM
East Texas: through about 9 PM
