DALLAS, Texas — Dallas police say two men were shot Friday night on Elsie Fay Heggins Street, leaving one dead and another injured.
In a release, DPD says 21-year-old Jackie Jernigan died at the scene while a second man was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital. The other victim has not been identified.
Police say detectives are still investigating what led to the gunfire near Wahoo Park just before 11 p.m.
No suspects are in custody as of Saturday afternoon.
