LUBBOCK, Texas (February 14, 2026) – The Lubbock Christian University track and field teams competed at the final meet of the 2026 indoor regular season on Friday and Saturday, competing at the Jarvis Scott Invite hosted by Texas Tech at the Sport Performance Center.
 
A number of NCAA provisional marks were recorded on both the men’s and women’s side, and two school records fell for the Chaparrals.
 
Reuel Campbell had a part in both of the new program best marks. First, he ran the 200-meter in a blistering 21.17 to finish 16th in the event. It is the 12th-fastest time among Division II runners this season. The senior also recorded a new personal best and provisional mark in the 400-meter. He placed ninth in the event with a time of 46.78.
 
Campbell the ran with the 4X400 relay team with Daniel Sianez, Aden Soto and Chris Moffett. LCU’s squad placed seventh, finishing the race with a time 3:08.13 to break the school’s previous top mark. It is the fourth-fastest time in the nation.
 
Moffett recorded two more provisional marks individually, in both the 200 and 400 meter events. He placed 12th in the 400 with a time 46.97 and 34th in the 200 with a time of 21.46. Daniel Sianez had provisionals in the same two events, placing 31st in the 200 with  a time of 21.39 and 19th in the 400 with a time of 47.25.
 
LCU got one more top 10 finish from Kaleb Gaona, who finished ninth in the 5000-meter with a time of 16:17.27.

Four provisional marks were also recorded on the Lady Chap side, including the 4X400 relay team. The squad of Joy Egwu, Elizabeth Florez, Jozlyn Arana and Kerrigan Huynh out-performed their previous season best, finishing fifth with a time of 3:43.40. It is the eighth-fastest time in the Division II this season.

 

Arana, Florez and Egwu also recorded provisional marks in the 400-meter individually. Arana placed 16th with a time of 55.46, Florez finished the race in 56.21s to place 26th and Egwu finished 29th with a time of 56.32.

 

Lubbock Christian will take off next weekend before competing at the Lone Star Conference Championships on Feb. 27-28 at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico.
