Burges got a great performance from Destiny Malo as she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave Malo a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
On the hitting side, Angelina Alvarez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. That’s the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Yoselin Chavira, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Pebble Hills came up short against Spring Hill on Friday, falling 10-4. The loss put an end to the Spartans’ undefeated start to the season.
Having lost for the first time this season, Pebble Hills fell to 2-1. As for Burges, their record is now 4-2.
