An 80-year-old has been identified as the man who died in a hospital after he and a woman were rescued from a house fire in Northwest Dallas Wednesday.
Louis H. Johnson, 80, died at Parkland Memorial Hospital almost an hour after Dallas Fire-Rescue got him out of a house fire in the 3100 block of Modella Avenue, according to the Dallas County medical examiner’s office and fire officials.
When firefighters arrived at the home, they saw heavy fire at the front and were told two people might be trapped inside.
Johnson and a woman were removed from the home and taken to a local hospital, where Johnson later died. The woman was in stable condition, Evans said.
