A 51-year-old woman died Friday when she was stabbed in the neck by her son following a domestic altercation in Fort Worth, according to police and the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Mirlande Ciprien was found dead at a residence in the 4800 block of Cargill Circle around 8:57 p.m. as officers responded to a “cutting call,” according to Fort Worth Police.
It was determined a domestic incident occurred between Ciprien and her adult son, police said. Her son was found nearby and taken into custody.
Police said he was also taken to a hospital for possible self-inflicted wounds. As of Sunday morning, police have yet to identify the man.

This marked the second domestic violence-related homicide in Fort Worth last week.
On Wednesday, a woman’s body, along with evidence of a crime, was found in an apartment in the 7300 block of Harris Parkway as officers investigated a welfare check, police said.
Her death is being investigated as a possible domestic violence homicide, police said. On Thursday, detectives were preparing an arrest warrant for a known male suspect.
