Whitley Penn on Wednesday announced leadership changes that will take effect on Jan. 1.
Tommy Byrd has been named partner-in-charge of tax, Irfan Dossani will serve as partner-in-charge of advisory, and Jake Morris has been appointed partner-in-charge of client accounting & advisory services.

Byrd currently serves as partner-in-charge of the firm’s Houston office. With more than 16 years of experience in public accounting, he specializes in business and individual tax compliance and consulting, primarily within the energy sector. A Baylor University graduate, he is active in the Texas Society of CPAs, AICPA, and several Houston-area professional and nonprofit organizations.
Dossani, who earned his BBA in accounting and finance from TCU, brings more than 26 years of experience in tax, consulting, and advisory services. He serves on the board of directors of the Information Technology Alliance (ITA) and is known for driving innovation within Whitley Penn.
Morris, who leads the firm’s controllership and interim advisory team, has over 14 years of accounting experience, including public accounting and corporate controllership. His expertise includes financial reporting, forecasting, and department management.
