30,000 runners at the 2026 Austin Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K

On a chilly Austin morning, downtown buzzed with excitement earlier than usual for a Sunday.

Dozens of streets are closed as athletes in running gear make their way to the starting line of the Austin Marathon.

With the bang of a gong, over 30,000 elite and amateur runners take to the streets, competing in a marathon, half marathon and 5k.
