Houston Police acted quickly when informed of a shooting death on the city’s northwest side, capturing a suspect with one day.
The owner of a smoke shop near North Houston Rosslyn at West Little York was found dead in his store on Saturday morning after an employee noticed something odd.
The shop’s “open” sign was on, but the car belonging to the owner wasn’t parked at the shop.
Police found the body of the owner and determined he was likely killed sometime near midnight, so they set out to find his car, which an employee said the owner always parked in front of the shop.
Within hours, police found a man driving that car and connected him to the killing.
He’s now charged with Capital Murder.
