A 21-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing Friday night in north Fort Worth, according to authorities and jail records.

Malachyah Ciprien is currently in custody at the Lon Evans Corrections Center. Tarrant County jail records show he was booked February 14, 2026, on a murder charge under commitment authority from the Fort Worth Police Department. A bond has not been set.

What Happened

Fort Worth police responded around 9 p.m. Friday to a reported stabbing in the 4800 block of Cargill Circle.

Officers arriving at the scene found 51-year-old Mirlande Ciprien suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office determined she died from a stab wound to the neck.

Suspect Located Nearby

Police located Malachyah Ciprien nearby shortly after the incident. Investigators said he was transported to a local hospital for treatment of a wound believed to be self-inflicted before being transferred to jail.

Fort Worth police described the stabbing as an isolated domestic incident and said there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Authorities have not released a motive. The investigation remains ongoing.
