No. 4 Texas (24-3, 9-3 SEC) defeated No. 22 Tennessee (16-7, 8-3 SEC), 65-63, Sunday at Food City Center.

The game was tied, 34-34, at halftime.

Talaysia Cooper scored a game-high 29 points for the Lady Vols. She also totaled two assists, two steals and one rebound for the Lady Vols, who lost their second home game of the season. She converted 12-of-19 field goal attempts, 4-of-7 three-point attempts and 1-of-1 three points. Cooper was one of three Lady Vols to score 10-plus points in the contest against the Longhorns.

Janiah Barker totaled 12 points, two rebounds and one block, while Nya Roberts finished with 11 points, one rebound and one assist for the Lady Vols, who committed 23 turnovers against Texas.

Both the Lady Vols and the Longhorns finished the game with 31 rebounds.

Madison Booker led Texas with 14, points, while Jordan Lee and Roni Harmon added 12 points each.
