A boat was lost Sunday afternoon after it caught fire on Lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas, officials said.
Photos of the incident show the boat in flames, with a massive plume of black smoke rising from it.
According to Dallas Fire-Rescue, the fire started at about 4:45 p.m. while the boat was out on the lake. DFR’s Marine One responded to the fire.
Two people were aboard, officials say, but both were able to get onto a friend’s boat safely. Neither were injured. The boat was a total loss.
