Daniel Jason Lee was born on August 10, 1980, to Donald and Joanne Lee in Chicago, Illinois. At one-year-old, he moved with his parents and brother to Arlington, Texas. Always the adventurer, he constantly explored his neighborhood, bringing back any animal he could catch. Danny attended Bowie High School, where he excelled in track and earned the moniker, “Big Dan.” His many awards included being named Male Athlete of the Year, and he was also All-City in track. He competed in the State of Texas Regional Meets and in Summer Track. After high school, Dan accepted athletic scholarships to Barton Community College and Texas A&M Commerce, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at A&M, he competed in the Division II National Championships and held the school record for the 400 Meter dash. While still in school, Danny began a career at FedEx that spanned 28 years.
