SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) – Early voting for the March 4 Texas primary elections begins Tuesday in Grayson County.
Statewide races include Sen. John Cornyn’s seat in the U.S. Senate, with hotly-contested primary races on both the Republican and Democratic sides.
In Grayson County, the three contested races on the Republican side are 397th District Judge (Art Clayton vs. Christina Fox), County Clerk (Linda Denman vs. Tammy Reddic), and Pct. 2 Commissioner (Art Arthur vs. John Huckle).
Texas is an open primary state, meaning registered voters may choose either the Democratic or Republican primary election in which to cast their ballots.
Registered voters with a government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or passport) may cast their ballots early from Feb. 17-20 (7am-7 pm), Feb. 22 (12pm-6pm), and Feb. 23-27 (7am-7pm) at any of the five following locations.
