Friday, Feb. 20

The Thorn is an immersive live production that tells the story of Christ through music, drama, aerial acts, modern dance, movement arts, and special effects. The show has been seen by more than one million people over 25 years and focuses on themes of love, sacrifice, and redemption.

A new partnership with local food truck Grilled Cheese Please! will give clients hands-on vocational experience once a month, allowing them to work in the truck and build real-world skills. The food truck will also be open to the community, offering opportunities for clients to practice communication, strengthen social interactions, and gain confidence.

Boots and Bling- Daddy/Daughter Dance

6:30 p.m. at  14254 S Padre Island, Corpus Christi

Real Life is hosting its annual Daddy/Daughter Dance for fathers and father figures with daughters ages 2–17, featuring dancing, games, a photo booth, and special gifts. Attendees can enjoy food and treats while making memories to last a lifetime.

The Resin Beach Board class returns to Gypsy Finns Studio on February 20 and 21, offering beginners a chance to create ocean-inspired, functional art. Classes are small, include all supplies, and allow participants to personalize projects with their own shells, sand, or treasures.

33rd Annual Stage Door Canteen

7-10 p.m. at USS Lexington Museum, 2914 N Shoreline Blvd Corpus Christi

The USS Lexington Museum will host its 33rd Annual Stage Door Canteen, a nostalgic evening of live music and celebration honoring the historic ship. The event features the USS Lexington Big Band, vocalists, and special guests, with appetizers, a cash bar, and 1940s-themed entertainment, while proceeds support the museum’s ongoing restoration and maintenance.

The Whooping Crane Festival in Port Aransas celebrates the annual return of the cranes to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. The four-day event features expert speakers, birding and boating trips, nature tours, photography workshops, a trade show, and additional activities for wildlife enthusiasts.

The Coastal Bend’s largest exotic reptile and pet expo takes place at the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds in Robstown, featuring more than 100 tables with reptiles, amphibians, insects, small mammals, and supplies. Attendees can explore the variety of animals, enjoy concessions, and shop for pets and related products during this family-friendly event.

The Coast Life Credit Union at Trojan Branch is hosting a WWE-themed event where adults can register for a chance to win tickets to an upcoming WWE Raw show.
