Personally, I think I killed it. That’s what wifey said anyway … of course, she may just be being polite. The fact that I remembered at all is kind of amazing so the gift itself may have been overshadowed by that alone.
Seriously, I did good. Funny card, (I refuse to buy “serious/sentimental” cards for any occasion.), a nice dinner, fancy bottle of wine, (Coors Light for me.) and a custom candle for the nosy bas … errr, curious readers. … who are wondering.
She in turn … of course ‘cuz, when it comes to Valentine’s Day, chicks pretty much always kill it … did great too with a really sweet card and some of my favorite goodies.
Across the board, it seems like everybody gave Valentines 2026 a thumbs up. I posted this question on the KLAQ Facebook page and the answers were pretty positive.

By an large, everyone seemed to have had a good day and, since no Valentines Day balloons shut down the airport, I’d say Valentines 2026 was a win.
