EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An institution that trains first responders in El Paso received a $10,000 grant on Wednesday to continue its mission.
ProAction Emergency Services Institute was selected as a 2025 Freeport Foundation Grant recipient.
According to ProAction EMS, the grant program is part of the Freeport Foundation, which supports organizations working to make a difference in their communities.
“We’re honored to receive this generous support from Freeport-McMoRan,” said Executive Director Henry Brutus. “This funding will directly impact our students and help us expand access to life-saving education and services in El Paso.”

ProAction EMS said it will remain committed to training the next generation of emergency responders.
A check presentation ceremony was held at ProAction’s headquarters, located at 1400 George Dieter Dr, Ste. 200 in East El Paso at 11 a.m.
The Freeport Foundation is part of the Freeport-McMoRan company, which, according to its website, is a company that manages copper, gold and molybdenum mines.
