Merit Coffee Co. opened its fourth Austin coffee shop at Mueller in East Austin in mid February.
What’s on the menu
The San Antonio-based craft coffee company serves drip coffee and cold brew as well as matcha and espresso lattes served hot or iced. Current specialty drinks include the cereal milk cold brew, bourbon cream cold foam, dulce spice latte and cinnamon toast crunch matcha.

Merit Coffee was founded in San Antonio in 2009 and has since expanded to Austin and Dallas, Merit Coffee CEO Bill Ellis said.
The business opened its first Austin-area coffee shop in the Seaholm District in 2016 and has cafes at The Triangle and South Lamar.
The Texas company serves specialty coffee that is sourced from around the world and roasted in San Antonio, Ellis said.

Merit Coffee is planning to expand to Houston later this year with the opening of three new coffee shops in the Westview, Houston Heights and Memorial areas, Ellis said.
