CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man has died following a shooting incident on Secretariat Drive, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
On February 16, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Secretariat Drive in response to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and immediately administered first aid until medics arrived, stated the department.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene due to the serious nature of the incident. It was determined that a disturbance over services rendered led to the production of a weapon, according to the press release.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Multiple individuals were detained at the scene and are being transported to the Main Station for formal interviews with detectives, the department reported.
