Jack In The Box is currently in the middle of a major culling of its restaurants, with 150-200 underperforming locations set to close. So perhaps now is not the most opportune time to ask, but I’m going to do it anyway: Can we please get a Jack In The Box in Lubbock?

What Makes Jack in the Box Different
Lubbock has plenty of fast food and fast casual options and chains galore, but Jack In The Box is different than anything else we have, thanks to its eclectic menu of munchies available all day and into the late nights. Yes, I DO want tacos with my burger and a side of egg rolls. Lubbock is home to a MAJOR university, we deserve this! Also, breakfast all day? Lubbock people love breakfast outside of breakfast hours.
Lubbock Is No Stranger to Popular Chains
Popular chains do well here, given a couple of caveats: the management keeps the place up to standard, the location isn’t absolutely terrible, and we know it exists (i.e., they advertise beyond just the Grand Opening). In other words, with the minimum competency, they thrive.

Late Night Dining Is Still Limited
Despite being a college town, we still have limited options late at night, and that’s why there’s always a line around the building at Whataburger (also, Whataburger is delicious). Not to mention folks who work second shifts like warehouse workers, nurses, first responders, etc.
Yes, I Know They’ve Been Here Before
And failed, but from what I heard, it wasn’t due to a lack of interest in Jack In The Box, but issues between Jack In The Box corporate and the franchisee. Of course, that’s just what I heard, but I distinctly remember the Jack In The Box being well attended while it was here, and again, I want the dang eggrolls with my curly fries.
