Notably, the Houston Gamblers signed QB Nolan Henderson back to their roster. We wrote about that transaction here.

Let’s take a look at what else went down.

Louisville Kings

CB Teldrick Ross, Signed

The Louisville Kings have added another slot corner, bringing Teldrick Ross to the fold ahead of camp. Ross is fresh off an IFL stint with the Massachusetts (now Orlando) Pirates, making his way up the ranks into the United Football League.

#UFL Rookie Draft Watch: DB Teldrick Ross@__skate____ is an absolute playmaking machine out of Middle Tennessee State. Across his time at the school, he racked up 202 tackles, 6 TFL’s, 3 INT’s, and a whopping 43 PBU’s.

Ross was a playmaking machine at Middle Tennessee State University. Across four seasons, he totaled 202 tackles, six tackles for loss, three interceptions, and a ridiculous 43 pass breakups. His 4.35 speed put him in elite company, allowing for MTSU to utilize Ross in a myriad of ways.

Teldrick never signed an NFL contract, but he did receive an opportunity in Rookie Mini-Camp with the New England Patriots in 2024. Now, he joins the Kings in an effort to get his pro career up and running in 11-on-11.

Columbus Aviators

CB Josh Thompson, Removed

The Aviators lost Josh Thompson, a promising cornerback who has 4.40 speed, and an NFL resume to boot. Thompson appeared in six NFL games throughout his career. It’s unclear if Josh has simply decided not to play in the UFL, or if he’s got another NFL team calling. Josh was selected by the Aviators during the UFL Draft in January.

Dallas Renegades

WR, Miles Boykin, Retired
WR, Chase Cota, Removed
WR, Roderick Daniels Jr., Retired
DT, Keondre Coburn, Removed

The Renegades just got gutted at wide receiver, losing three prospects. Both Miles Boykin and Roderick Daniels Jr. have opted to retire. Miles was a huge pickup for the Renegades with his NFL resume, while Daniels was a former SMU product who would have been a local face on the team.

WR Roderick Daniels Jr will not be joining the Renegades the season and has opted for a coaching opportunity at his alma mater SMU per HC Rick Neuheisel.

Speaking of local players, Keondre Coburn was a defensive tackle selected by the Renegades during the Regional College Allocation process. He’s a former Texas Longhorn standout, and would have been a valuable addition up front.
