AUSTIN, Texas — Officer Miller of the Austin Police Department’s Ida 700s patrol shift has been honored with a Lifesaving Medal for his actions during an incident in August 2024.

Officer Miller, along with his fellow officers from the North Central Austin patrol shift, provided critical medical aid and wound care to a victim, enabling Austin-Travis County EMS to transport the individual to the hospital for urgent care, according to a press release from the department.

The quick response and teamwork of Officer Miller and his colleagues were instrumental in saving a life, and they were all recognized with the same award. “Great job, Officer Miller!” stated the source.
