CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A man has died following a shooting on Secretariat Drive, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Secretariat Drive at 3:00 p.m. on February 16, 2026, in response to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, they found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds and administered first aid until medics arrived, stated the department.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were called to the scene due to the nature of the incident. It was determined that a disturbance over services rendered led to the production of a weapon. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Several individuals were detained at the scene and will be taken to the Main Station for formal interviews with detectives, according to the press release.
