As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, halal restaurants across Austin are preparing to serve evening meals for those observing the fast, offering everything from quick bites to late-night feasts.
In 2026, Ramadan is expected to begin around the evening of Feb. 17 and end around March 19, depending on the sighting of the moon. The month marks a sacred period in Islam when Muslims fast daily from dawn until sunset, abstaining from food and drink during daylight hours.
