Lane closures planned through March 18. Part of the voter-approved Bond 2020 reconstruction project, expected to be completed in 2027.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Drivers in Corpus Christi should expect lane closures near the intersection of Yorktown Blvd and Rodd Field Rd starting Wednesday, Feb. 18, as crews continue work on the Yorktown Boulevard road reconstruction project.

According to the City of Corpus Christi, the eastbound inside lane of Yorktown Boulevard will be closed from Rodd Field Road to Geiger Drive. One eastbound through lane at the Yorktown–Rodd Field intersection will also be closed.

On Rodd Field Road, the southbound inside lane will be closed, though the U-turn lane will remain open.

Left turns from Rodd Field Road onto Yorktown Boulevard will not be allowed during the closure period.

The lane closures are scheduled to remain in place through Wednesday, Mar. 18.

City officials said access to nearby neighborhoods and businesses will remain available throughout construction.

The work is part of the voter-approved Bond 2020 Yorktown Boulevard reconstruction project, which is expected to be completed in 2027. Motorists are urged to follow posted detour signs and use caution while traveling through the construction zone, as safety remains a top priority.
