Richardson ISD junior high renovations and new construction at the Dallas Fort Worth International airport are some of the new projects filed recently with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Here are five of the most expensive area permits filed with TDLR in the past week.
1. Liberty Junior High School in Richardson ISD
Liberty Junior High School will have a new two-story building with gyms, a kitchen, classrooms, cafeteria and storm shelter, according to a TDLR filing. A total of six junior high schools in the district are under construction after a bond approved by voters in 2025, according to the district. Construction is estimated to last for two and a half years.

The Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is in the process of constructing a new airport terminal and new Skylink Station, according to a TDLR filing. The first phase of Terminal F is expected to open in 2027, per previous reporting. The terminal will add 15 new gates to the airport.

Apollo Junior High School will also see renovations as part of the larger middle school transformation project approved by voters in 2025. The $1.4 billion bond package allocates most of the funds toward a new Career and Technical Education Center and renovation projects, while a smaller portion of the funds will go toward replacing electronics and football stadium upgrades per previous reporting. Construction is estimated to last for roughly two and a half years.

A new development, Denton Point, will have a total of five industrial buildings near North Western Boulevard and Jim Christal Road according to TDLR filings. There will be 43 trailer spaces for the first building and 34 spaces for the second, according to the real estate firm Holt Lunsford Commercial. Buildings three and four will be rear-load buildings and building five will have 83 trailer positions, according to the firm. Construction is estimated to last less than two years.

A speculative warehouse will be constructed along SH 121 in McKinney according to TDLR filings. The facility will be located near the intersection at South Hardin Boulevard with construction estimated to be completed by the end of the year.
