HOUSTON – A Harris County Sheriff’s Office Deputy is dead after a motorcycle crash on Wednesday morning, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.
It is with profound sadness and deep sympathy that we announce the loss of a @HCSOTexas deputy.
Please join us in praying for the loved ones and friends of our deputy, who was killed in an off-duty traffic collision early this morning at the 23000 Aldine Westfield/Ciderwood.…

The crash, which happened on Aldine Westfield and Ciderwood, involved two other vehicles.
Gonzalez said the deputy was off duty at the time of the crash. We learned that the off-duty deputy was on a motorcycle when crashing into a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle did stay on the scene, and deputies do not believe the driver was impaired at the time of the crash.
Drivers are urged to seek an alternate route as all lanes on Aldine Westfield Road are completely shut down.
