Incumbent Felix Chavez filed for reelection, joined by April Adams, Lynn Green, Taylor Lopez and Sam Martinez.
Board member Shara Turner did not file for reelection, district documents show.

Two board seats, occupied by trustees Felix Chavez and Shara Turner, have terms that expire in May. Candidates elected to each seat in the May 2 race will serve a three-year term.
HISD board seats are at large, representing the entire district.
What’s next?
The last day to register to vote is April 2. Early voting for the May 2 election will open April 20 and close April 28, according to the Texas Secretary of State.
