Lady Trojans fall 9-6 to Tuloso-Midway

The Beeville Lady Trojans saw an early lead slip away Tuesday night as the Corpus Christi Tuloso-Midway Cherokees used a five-run sixth inning to claim a 9-6 victory in Beeville.

Beeville (1-4) took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Tuloso-Midway (6-2) answered in the top of the third when Avari Andrade launched a three-run home run to left field, flipping a one-run deficit into a 4-3 advantage.

Beeville regained control in the fifth. Milliana Hernandez’s run-scoring single highlighted a two-run inning that gave the Lady Trojans a 5-4 lead.

The Cherokees responded decisively in the sixth. Tuloso-Midway pushed across five runs on three hits to take a 9-5 lead.

Beeville plated a run in the bottom half of the sixth, but could not overcome the deficit.
