FABENS, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A man was arrested after a shooting during a concert in Fabens on Saturday.

Around 9:21 p.m., the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of shots fired during a concert and off-roading event at Tequilas Event Center, located at 4950 S. Fabens Carlsbad Road.

Deputies quickly located the vehicle believed to be involved and conducted a traffic stop on a black GMC Sierra pickup truck.

Deputies identified the driver, 39-year-old Orlando Alfonso Corona, as the individual responsible for firing shots at another male during the event.

The Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

The victim was transferred to a local medical center, where he remains in critical condition.

Orlando Alfonso Corona was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, with bond set at $200,000.
