Multiple high schools across Texas were closed today following a national spate of bomb threats. Thankfully, as of 1:00 p.m. today, none of those threats appear to have been legitimate.

Anna ISD announced via Facebook that they canceled classes for the day at Anna High School due to a bomb threat. According to the post, they worked with law enforcement to sweep the building.

Anna ISD posted a follow-up after the school was cleared, stating: “We have also learned that several districts in our area and across the state received the same message. Law enforcement continues to investigate. School will resume as normal tomorrow.”

Chandler-Cibolo-Universal City ISD also canceled all classes for the day at Steele High School due to a bomb threat.

According to reports, all staff and students were evacuated, and law enforcement conducted a sweep of the school.

Students who were en route to the school via bus were rerouted to Clemens High School and picked up there.

Boerne High School in the San Antonio area also received a bomb threat, but that threat was determined not to be credible after an evacuation and sweep of the school.
