Amber Glenn is looking for redemption on Thursday after a shaky finish in the short program on Tuesday.

The Plano figure skater finished 13th in the women’s short program after judges said she missed a single rotation during a triple loop, a mandatory technical element, and earned zero points for the element. Glenn posted on Instagram late Tuesday a clip of her skate, apparently challenging the score and showing she completed 3.5 rotations.

On Thursday, Glenn is looking for redemption in the women’s single free skate at noon, which also includes mandatory technical elements but allows skaters greater freedom in the execution.

Glenn trails both of her fellow “Blade Angels.” Teammates Alyssa Liu and Isabeau Levito finished third and eighth, respectively. Liu finished with a score of 76.59, and Levito with a 70.84.

Liu is behind Japanese skaters Ami Nakai and Kaori Sakamoto. Mone Chiba, a third Japanese skater, is right behind in fourth.

One country has never had three women on the figure skating podium. Heading into Thursday’s free skate, Japan has a chance of making history if it can keep Liu out of the top three.

You can watch her performance live on NBC or stream it on Peacock here.

She competes in the Winter Games as the three-time reigning U.S. figure skating champion. Her latest national title triumph saw her post a record-breaking short program score, as well as personal-best marks in the free skate and the overall score.

Glenn’s final 2026 Winter Olympic performance will be at the exhibition gala on Feb. 21, starting at 1 p.m.
