After being met with open arms in Dallas, Maman, a popular cafe from New York City, is bringing a second location to the city.

A former Schlotzsky’s Deli in Casa Linda will soon transform into the blue toile-clad cafe and patisserie. Promotional Maman signage has been freshly plastered to the windows of the corner retail space.

It is expected to open in Nov. 2026, according to CultureMap.

The first Texas location, which set up shop in Dallas’ Preston Center, drew lines around the building when it opened its doors last Nov. The Casa Linda location will be the cafe’s second location in Texas.

Maman was first created in Soho in 2014 by Elisa Marshall and Benjamin Sormonte.

Its rustic, French provencal aesthetic — and its nutty chocolate chip cookies praised by Oprah — found a dedicated fan base. There are now at least 50 locations across the country.

The cafe has a lineup of pastries made in-house along with quiches, salads, soups and sandwiches. Several menu items were created exclusively for Dallas, like a croissant roll filled with brisket, cheddar, mustard and herbs, and another with salted caramel and toasted maple pecans.
