The Aggies jumped out to an early lead before the first media timeout, but were unable to hold it, falling behind the Rebels for much of the period.
A&M finished the half 35% from the field, including 18% from beyond the arc. Ole Miss fared better, finishing 50% and 25%, respectively.
A&M outrebounded Ole Miss 21-14 but lost the turnover battle 6-5. The Aggies’ reserves, which are usually strong, had minimal impact, but still outpaced the Rebels in bench points 9-8.
Aggies’ guard Marcus Hill had a team-high 10 points, shooting 4-for-8Â from the field. Forward Federiko Federiko paced the Aggies on the boards with four rebounds.
For the Rebels, forward Malik Dia led the way, finishing the half with 10 points while shooting 5-for-9 from the field. Dia also collected a team-high three rebounds.
