Police have identified the man killed in a shooting outside a north Austin recreation center early Sunday morning and released surveillance video in hopes of identifying people of interest in connection with his death.

Jamal Elijah, 32, was fatally shot around 12:43 a.m. Sunday at the Gus Garcia Recreation Center at 1201 E. Rundberg Lane. Officers arrived to find Elijah suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead at 1:07 a.m. A second man wounded in the shooting was taken to a local hospital and remains in stable condition.

Investigators said Elijah was at the recreation center with friends when a group approached and opened fire. Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists responded to the scene.

Surveillance video released by the Austin Police show four people of interest walking in the area.
