EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Texas Gov. Greg Abbott will be coming to El Paso next week for a “Get Out the Vote” event.

Abbott is expected to be in El Paso on Thursday, Feb. 26, and the event is expected to begin at 5 p.m.

Abbott, a Republican, is seeking a fourth term. If he wins re-election and successfully finishes a fourth term in office, he would be the longest-serving governor in Texas history, surpassing his predecessor, Rick Perry, who served 14 years.

This story will be updated as soon as we learn more about Abbott’s visit.
