Multiple North Texas law enforcement agencies raided a house in Plano and adult bookstores and related businesses across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex on Friday, according to Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.
The home and the adult bookstores are all owned by the same person, who faces potential charges of prostitution, trafficking and money laundering, police sources told WFAA.
The sting operation on Friday morning was connected to the Paris Adult Book Store located on Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas, officials said. Dallas police released photos showing officers in that area.
Multiple agencies, including the Plano and Dallas police departments and federal authorities with the Internal Revenue Service and Homeland Security Investigations were seen Friday morning at a home on Coral Cove Court in Plano. Sources did not name the owner of the home and businesses, but said the locations were connected through a shared owner.
The bust was the culmination of a yearlong investigation, police told WFAA.
In a statement on social media, Dallas police said, “The activity is part of an ongoing, multi-agency effort focused on public safety and the disruption of criminal activity within the community. Due to the nature of the investigation, no additional details are available currently.”
